SUMMARY:My Favorite Thing (Family Edition)
DESCRIPTION:Let’s face it\, most of our homes are full of personal belongings including photos\, documents\, and memorabilia. But have you ever stopped to think whether you or your family members know the stories behind these things? \nJoin me & my friends from Novel Excursions on this journey of discovery buried in plain sight within & around our homes. \nDo you know why your child has that clay model on his/her/their window sill? Or that poster on the back of her/their/his bedroom door? \nDo you know why your parent keeps that ragged old apron hanging in the pantry? Those eye glasses on a kitchen self? What about the objects of seemingly more importance on the mantel or in a display case? \nThe world is a rich tapestry woven together by generations of stuff & stories. Each generation contributes & distributes an enduring legacy that springs us into a better tomorrow. The tales we tell bridge cultures\, span continents\, shape identity\, provide purpose\, and\, most of all\, build community. \nIn this divisive age\, it is important to look at the past\, not with rose-colored glasses but with humble appreciation. Take a walk with us on this multi-generational journey as we revel in our similarities\, celebrate our differences\, and find our place in this global family. \nAt our multi-generational Family Show & Tale\, we encourage you to explore your past\, enjoy your present\, and look forward to your future. \nCome tell your story through an object\, learn the lessons of generations past\, and find youthful inspiration. \nAnd\, as our friends at Novel Excursion Travel say\, your story is written one brave step at a time: Tell. Listen. Learn. You can see why we’ve partnered on these story-sharing gatherings…. Show. Share. Connect. \nAnd remember you are always welcome to look & listen. No one will be forced to share… but bring something along just in case you feel inspired. \nLet’s build connections within & between our families one story of stuff at a time.
